Lehigh alum David Smith named VP of Operations for UFP Technologies

UFP Technologies, a leading supply chain manufacturer of custom-engineered components and products, has named Lehigh alumnus David Smith as its new Vice President of Operations.

Smith joins the Massachusetts-based corporation after nearly 25 years at Connecticut's Rogers Corporation, serving under a multitude of roles, including Operations and General Manager of the Elastomer Components Division and Vice President and General Manager of the company's $180 million High Performance Foams division.

UFP Technologies, founded in 1963, serves more than 3,000 customers from a variety of field across the United States, including the medical, automotive, electronic, industrial and aerospace fields.

Smith received his B.S. in physics from Muhlenberg College before and earning his M.S. in manufacturing systems engineering from Lehigh University.
