EE alumna tapped to lead people-moving innovator
Judy Marks '84 has been named president of Otis, the world's leading manufacturer and service provider of elevators, escalators and moving walkways. The 66,000 employees of Otis, a unit of United Technologies Corporation (UTC) with annual revenues approaching $12 billion, serve more than 200 countries and territories and have sold and maintain approximately 2.6 million elevators and escalators worldwide.

Prior to her new role with Otis, Marks served as CEO of Siemens' U.S. operations and Chair of the Siemens Foundation Board of Directors. Marks joined Siemens in May 2011 as Head of Siemens' U.S. Federal Business. Ms. Marks was responsible for growing a newly formed U.S. business unit designed to provide a more comprehensive portfolio of solutions to the federal government from across its Energy, Industry, Healthcare and the future Infrastructure & Cities sectors.
Ms. Marks came to Siemens from Lockheed Martin, where she most recently served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for the company's Electronic Systems Business Area. Marks was president of two operating divisions over eight years in Transportation and Security Solutions and Distribution Technologies focused on developing, integrating and delivering advanced solutions and services to federal customers worldwide.
Marks’ experience spans multiple disciplines, including positions in systems engineering, engineering management, business development, capture management, subcontract management, program management and executive management. She earned a degree in electrical engineering from Lehigh University, and has served on the Dean’s Advisory Council of its P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science.
