Elizabeth "Liz" King ‘79 has joined Silicon Graphics International (SGI) as the firm’s senior vice president of worldwide sales. SGI provides high-performance computing and big data solutions to help customers solve demanding business and technology challenges.
In King’s 20 years of experience in global sales and business development, she’s held key leadership roles and been responsible for more than $1 billion in global sales. Her most recent position was vice president of strategic alliances for Juniper Networks, an American manufacturer of networking equipment. King previously held leadership positions at Hitachi servers and solutions, Alcatel-Lucent, Sun Microsystems, Raytheon, and Texas Instruments.
"Liz King has extensive experience developing and leading global teams to build and grow strategic account relationships and channel partners in both the enterprise and public sectors," said Jorge Titinger, CEO and president of SGI. "We are extremely pleased to have attracted an individual with Liz's talent, background, and energy."
King received a BS in mechanical engineering from Lehigh and an MBA from the University of Dallas.
