Profile

Dr. Paolo Bocchini is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Bologna (Italy) after completing a dual-advisor program under the guidance of Prof. Erasmo Viola from the University of Bologna and Prof. George Deodatis from Columbia University in the City of New York, where he had been a Visiting Scholar for one year.

Dr. Bocchini's research interests lay in the broad area of Computational Mechanics. In particular, he works on the numerical simulation of uncertain structures and distributed civil infrastructure systems.
