Stephanie Walkup graduated from Lehigh University with a B.S. in civil engineering in 1996. During her undergraduate career she played on the women's varsity volleyball team and was a sister in Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. In 1998 Walkup went on to receive her Masters in civil engineering, also from Lehigh.
Walkup is now a project engineer with Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. WJE is a structural engineering and architecture firm headquartered near Chicago with offices throughout the country. Her specialties include Collapse Investigation, Concrete Deterioration, Disaster Response, Field Inspection and Repair and Rehabilitation Design. Walkup's projects include on-site engineering of the World Trade Center related to debris removal following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. She is a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and sits on the Fiber Reinforced Polymer Reinforcement technical committee.
Walkup Currently resides in Morrisville, PA with her husband, Matthew.
