Philip Fleck '67, a mechanical engineer by training, is director of venture capital firm Norwich Ventures, Inc. The firm is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals and inventors build innovative medical device companies.
Fleck has been designing and building medical devices for most of his professional career. He has brought numerous products to market and uses that expertise at Norwich Ventures to assess new technologies and assist entrepreneurs with development and manufacturing. Fleck currently serves on the Board of Directors for Rhythmia Medical. He is also actively involved with Svelte Medical Systems. Previously, he served on the board of Syncro Medical Innovations.
Prior to joining Norwich Ventures, Fleck was the President and COO of Arrow International, with oversight of worldwide R&D and manufacturing. In addition, Phil oversaw opening the first-ever manufacturing plant in the Czech Republic by a U.S. company. Before his 30-year career at Arrow, Fleck was an engineer at Rockwell International and Atlas Chemical Industries. Phil serves on the executive board of the Life Sciences Greenhouse of Central Pennsylvania.
He earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Lehigh in 1967. He has attended University of Pennsylvania for graduate work in mechanical engineering and has attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
