Directions to Lehigh If Arriving By Car

From The West

Proceed EAST on Interstate Route 78. After the Fogelsville/Trexlertown Exit, this highway divides and you can follow Route 78 to Lehigh, if you choose, but it is much easier if you take the option to use Route 22 East to Bethlehem. Exit Route 22 at Route 378 South and follow into Bethlehem.

THEN:

If you are coming to the ASA Packer Campus: Continue South on Route 378; then, get in the left lane as you cross the big steel bridge. Bear left, after crossing the bridge, onto Third Street (this is also Route 412 South). Proceed to the first traffic light and turn right onto Brodhead Avenue. Continue on Brodhead, crossing over Fourth Street and passing the intersection with Morton Street. Continue one more block to Packer Avenue; you are now in the heart of the Asa Packer (or "main") Campus. Then:

If you are going to Packard Lab: Turn left onto Packer Avenue and continue east to the intersection of Packer Avenue and Vine Street. Packard Lab is located on the right (south) side of Packer Avenue, between Vine Street and University Drive. This is the rear of the building. Access to the front of the building is available by turning right onto University Drive, passing Packer Chapel on the left, and then turning right onto Memorial Drive West.*

If you are going to Whitaker Lab: Turn left onto Packer Avenue and continue east, passing Maginnes Hall, E. W. Fairchild Martindale Library, Neville Hall, and Mudd Hall (all on your left); the next building is Whitaker Lab, which is on the corner of Packer Avenue and Webster Streets.*

*If street parking is not available on Packer Avenue, proceed East to Webster Street, turn left, proceed one block on Webster to Morton, turn left on Morton and proceed to the parking deck.

If you are going to the Rauch Business Center: Turn left onto Packer Avenue and continue east, passing Maginnes Hall, E. W. Fairchild Martindale Library, Neville Hall, Mudd Hall and Whitaker Lab (all on your left); continue one block past the intersection with Webster Street to the intersection of Packer Avenue and Taylor Street. The Rauch Business Center is in the southeast corner of that intersection. You can proceed past the Rauch Business Center and the Zoellner Arts Center and park in the adjacent parking garage.

If you are going to the University Center: Turn left onto Packer Avenue and continue east to the intersection of Packer Avenue and University Drive. Turn right onto University Drive; Packard Lab will be on your right and Packer Chapel will be on your left. Turn right onto Memorial Drive West and, almost immediately, bear left onto University Drive. As soon as you pass the President's House on the right, turn left into the parking lot for the University Center, which will now be on your right.

If you are coming to the Mountaintop Campus, cross the bridge in the right lane; immediately after crossing the bridge, continue straight ahead, getting in the left southbound lane after the first traffic light and continue following Route 378 South. The second traffic light is at the intersection with Third Street; the third traffic light is at the intersection with Fourth Street. At the fourth traffic light, there is a "five points" intersection. Continue on Route 378 South (also known as Wyandotte Street). As you approach the top of South Mountain, before the traffic light bear to right onto the jughandle marked as "Puggy Lane and Mountain Drive"; at stop sign turn left. Cross over Route 378 to Mountain Drive and continue straight. You will now heading east on Mountain Drive North. At the "Y," bear right, coming quickly to a stop sign. Bear right and then, at the next "Y," bear left. Continue on Mountain Drive North (do NOT take the next right turn which will take you to the Goodman Campus,) and go through the gates and past the guard house. You are now on Research Drive. Proceed straight ahead. Then:

If you are coming to Iacocca Hall, bear right at the "Y." Iacocca Hall is the next building on your right and is distinguished by a tall glass tower.

If you are coming to Imbt Labs (home of the Energy Research Center offices), bear left at the "Y." Imbt Labs is the next building on your right.
