The School Psychology program Admissions deadline for both the Ed.S. and Ph.D. Programs is January 1st.
Minimum admission criteria are as follows:
- Must meet minimum University criteria of 3.0 undergraduate GPA out of 4.0 or GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 for the last two semesters of undergraduate study OR graduate GPA of 3.50.
- All applicants:
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) with minimum 75th percentile (in education).
- At least two letters of recommendation (preferably from university faculty).
- Completion of responses to three specific questions related to graduate education in "School Psychology" :

- Bachelor's and / or Master's degree in some area related to human services (e.g., Psychology, Education, Social Work, Nursing, Human Development) preferred.
APPLICATION REVIEW PROCESS
- Applications are reviewed by program faculty and students in January.
- On-campus interviews are scheduled in February.
- Admissions decisions are made by March 15th.
All students receiving initial certification by the Pennsylvania Department of Education must have had
- 6 credits of undergraduate college level Math
- 3 credits of English composition and 3 credits of English / American literature (or equivalents)
Students' credentials are examined at admission and those who do not meet these requirements will be notified. Any deficiencies must be remediated before they can be recommended for certification. Students who received Advance Placement credit as undergraduates or achieved specific scores on the SAT-2 examinations in mathematics, writing, and literature, can be exempt from some of these requirements.
