Welcome to Our Research Project
The purpose of Project REVAMP is to examine the effects of a stimulant medication (Vyvanse) on the functioning of college students with Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Although Vyvanse use for the treatment of ADHD is fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration for children and adults, to date there are no clinical studies of its use with the college student population.
This study intends to address the following questions:
- What are the effects of Vyvanse on the symptomatic behaviors of college students with ADHD relative to placebo conditions?
- What are the effects of Vyvanse on the academic achievement of college students with ADHD relative to placebo conditions?
- What are the effects of Vyvanse on the psychosocial functioning of college students with ADHD relative to placebo conditions?
- To what extent do college students with ADHD exhibit adverse side-effects (including increased risk for substance abuse) of treatment with Vyvanse relative to placebo conditions?
