RESEARCH
Dr. DeBlaere's interests include the exploration of the experiences of individuals with multiple and intersecting minority identities (i.e. women of color and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people of color), with a particular emphasis on the multiple discrimination experiences that possessing multiple minority identities may elicit and the links of these experiences to mental health. Practice interests include individual, couples, and group counseling with diverse clients from an integrationist perspective.
