Dauphin School District Project
MP3 has
officially begun! This month, project staff and individuals from
PaTTAN
met with administrators from the Central
Dauphin School District
about participating in the project. After receiving their full
support, we had the pleasure of meeting with the principals of
three potential school sites: Rutherford,
Lawnton,
and Phillips
Elementary. The principals,
all fairly new to their current position, expressed an interest
in working with Lehigh University and PaTTAN to use progress monitoring
in implementing a Response
to Intervention (RTI) approach
to eligibility for specific learning disabilities, developing
and monitoring IEP goals for students in special education, and
identifying students needing additional reading instruction or
support.
