Preparing New Educational Professionals

Our future depends on how well we prepare new professionals to work in schools. The IPDS provides opportunities for Lehigh students at all levels to be exposed to good educational practices, to try out techniques, and to become involved in the classroom and school. Teachers from our partner school regularly serve as guest lecturers in College of Education courses.

  • Legacy Projects - As part of their internship semester, TLT teaching interns participate in a project of their choosing that will help them learn more about the school and students.

    2010:
The Spring 2010 interns incorporated math problem solving games.

    2009:

The Spring 2009 interns asked Farmersville families to share their favorite recipes. The resulting A Multicultural Cookbook was part of BASD initiative, "No Place for Hate" and intended to foster awareness and appreciation for other cultures.

    2008:
The Spring 2008 interns designed a video that was used to present Farmersville at the Bethlehem School Board meeting.

    2007:
During the Spring 2007 semester, the interns created a book to welcome new families to Farmersville.
