Advisory Board

A national advisory committee has been formed to provide the center with time-limited expertise and advice on the center’s initial start-up activities.  The national advisory board is comprised of 8 national leaders with substantial center or grant-writing experience in the area of disability research and training.  The committee members are:

  • Dr. Michael Bullis - Professor of Special Education, University of Oregon
  • Dr. Maurice Elias - Professor, Department of Psychology, Rutgers- State University of New Jersey
  • Dr. Karen Harris - Professor of Special Education, Vanderbilt University
  • Dr. Eve Proffitt - President, Phi Delta Kappa and Director, Kentucky School Boards Association
  • Dr. Hill Walker - Professor and Director, Center for Violent and Destructive Behavior, University of Oregon
  • Dr. Stephen N. Elliott – Dunn Professor of Education, Educational Psychology, Vanderbilt University
  • Dr. Ann Schulte – Professor, Department of Psychology, North Carolina State University
