Students typically apply for scholarships and/or assistantships from the College of Education. In order to be eligible for these and ANY other form of financial aid from Lehigh, you MUST fill out the appropriate Financial Aid form for the College of Education. Call the College of Education at (610) 758-3225 for more information, including deadlines!

Since 1999, all doctoral students, and many master's students interested in receiving assistantships have obtained one either through the College of Education or throughout the university. Also, students can apply for tuition scholarships for the academic year as well as for summer session classes.

In addition, graduate students in the College of Education usually apply for Stafford Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) which can be awarded up to $18,500 per academic year. The amount of the award is calculated based on your income, your Lehigh scholarship and/or assistantship funds, and any grants or merit awards that you have obtained outside of Lehigh.

Keep one thing in mind: You can officially apply for federal educational loans ONLY AFTER registering for your courses. So, you must first register through the Registrar's Office (or online), and then you can begin the rest of the process with the financial aid office. The process itself can be confusing, so call the Financial Aid Office with any and all questions, (610) 758-3181.
