PROGRAM LOCATION
The College of Education is located in mountaintop campus which sits atop South Mountain, overlooking the Lehigh Valley. The Counseling Psychology program has office space for doctoral students, a student commons area, a research and training clinic equipped with video and audio recording equipment, classrooms, a departmental library, and extensive computer facilities (micro-and mainframe access). Faculty offices are all located within the building, Iacocca Hall.

LIBRARY
The Lehigh University Library is one of the most advanced electronic systems-based facilities in the United States. The library contains one million volumes with a growing psychology collection and unusually easy access to a wide array of databases and external bases, including Psyc Lit, ERIC, and Dissertation Abstracts International.

COUNSELING RESEARCH CLINIC
Through a combination of resources, including a grant from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Act, the CP program now has a research clinic consisting of three "hard-wired" rooms containing color videotaping, audiotaping, and a full editing and switching console. The clinic is used to conduct research studies utilizing clients from the Lehigh Valley, and was most recently the site of a large-scale study on the interrelationship between career problems and mental health status.

The clinic is also used for clinical training in practica and pre-practica. Students may use the facility to tape practice sessions, view videos, and/or practice counseling skills

COUNSELING ASSESSMENT RESEARCH
The program maintains a growing collection of test files, including individual and group intelligence and aptitude tests, occupational interest inventories, and personality assessment instruments. Plans are under way to supplement existing test files with on-line computer scoring.

STUDENT OFFICES AND MAILBOXES
Wherever possible, all full-time Ph.D. students are assigned office space within the program. Each student also receives a mailbox for on- and off-campus mail, and full e-mail and Internet access.

UNIVERSITY COUNSELING SERVICES
The Counseling Psychology Program maintains a working relationship with the University Counseling Service which also serves as one of three first year clinical training facilities. Four staff members at the UCS are full adjunct faculty in the Counseling Psychology Program, and attend CP meetings on a rotating basis.
