Kim graduated from Lehigh in 1982 with a BS in accounting. After working as a CPA for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell for three years, Kim attended Harvard Business School, earning an MBA in 1987.  Upon graduation, Kim joined Corning Inc. where she held a variety of finance positions between 1987 and 2004.  After serving as Controller or CFO for a number of subsidiaries, as well as Deputy Treasurer for the corporation, Kim left Corning Inc. to help establish the Alternative School for Math and Science.  Kim serves as the Administrative Head of School at ASMS, which is a private middle school serving students in grades 6-8.  In May 2007, ASMS was named by Intel as a "School of Distinction Finalist" for science education, one of only three in the nation.  Kim serves (or served) on the following Boards:  Alternative School for Math & Science, Notre Dame High School, 171 Cedar Arts Center, Girls Scouts - Seven Lakes Council, Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes.
