Your application will be evaluated on the basis of your undergraduate (and subsequent graduate) preparation, graduate aptitude test scores, congruence between your objectives and the program's goals, and any other criteria established by the program to which you are applying.

2011-2012 required criteria for consideration for admission to Lehigh's College of Education:
  1. Online Application
  2. GPA Minimum: 3.0 (unless otherwise stated below)
  3. $65 Application Fee - paid via credit card with the online application
  4. Official Transcript(s) from each Postsecondary Institution Attended (If you attended school outside of the U.S. please visit this link.)
  5. Student Clearance Checks (for those who do not have current clearances on file) or School Clearance Waiver (for those currently employed by a school district and have clearances on file with a district)
You must submit all of your required documents online except for your academic transcripts.

M.A., Comparative and International Education

  • 2 Letters of Recommendation
  • Deadline: February 1 for spring or fall semester start

M.Ed., Counseling and Human Services

  • 2 Letters of Recommendation
  • Deadline: March 1 for fall semester start

M.Ed., Educational Leadership

  • 2 Letters of Recommendation
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0 undergrad/3.6 graduate
  • Deadline: August 1 for fall semester start, December 13 for spring semester start, and May 1 for summer semester start

M.Ed., Elementary Education (and Pennsylvania Certification)

  • 2 Letters of Recommendation
  • Deadline: June 15 for fall semester start, November 15 for spring semester start, March 15 for summer semester start

M.Ed., Elementary School Counseling (and Pennsylvania Certification)

  • 2 Letters of Recommendation
  • Deadline: March 1 for fall semester start

M.Ed., Globalization and Educational Change

  • 2 Letters of Recommendation
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0 undergraduate/3.5 graduate (with minimum of 12 graduate credits)
  • Deadline: February 1 for spring or fall semester start

M.S. Instructional Technology

  • 2 Letters of Recommendation
  • Deadline: Rolling admissions, 4-6 week processing time

M.A. or M.Ed. Secondary Education (and Pennsylvania Certification)

M.Ed., Secondary School Counseling (and Pennsylvania Certification)

M.Ed, Special Education (Dual Pennsylvania Certification in Special Education and General Education)
