ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
The elementary teacher intern program leads to an M. Ed. degree in
elementary education and to an Instructional I Certificate that
qualifies the candidate to teach in the public schools of Pennsylvania.
The program is designed for the college graduate who, as an undergraduate,
specialized in a field other than education and who is capable of
beginning his or her study of professional practice at an advanced

SECONDARY EDUCATION
The secondary teacher intern program leads to an master's degree
in secondary education and to an Instructional I Certificate that
qualifies the candidate to teach in the public schools of Pennsylvania.
Certification areas offered are Citizenship Education, English,
Mathematics, Social Sciences, and Social Studies. The program is
designed for the college graduate who, as an undergraduate, specialized
in a field other than education and who is capable of beginning
his or her study of professional practice at an advanced level.

SUPERVISOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION - 19 CREDITS
All candidates must meet the College of Education Admission criteria
for the Masters degree. In addition, the candidate must possess
a Masters degree in Special Education and have at least three years
of special education teaching experience at the time of entry into
the program. Candidates not possessing a Masters degree in Special
Education must be enrolled in the Special Education program at Lehigh
University. Students will be admitted as a cohort group to the Educational
Leadership program. Each cohort will begin course work during the

SUPERVISOR OF PUPIL SERVICES - 19 CREDITS
All candidates must meet the College of Education Admission criteria
for the Master's degree. In addition, the candidate must possess
a Masters degree in one of the following areas: Counseling, School
Health, Social Work, Human Development or posses an Educational
Specialists degree or equivalent in School Psychology. Candidates
not possessing an earned degree in one of the specialty areas must
be enrolled in either the School Psychology or Counseling Psychology
programs at Lehigh. Students will be admitted as a cohort group.

SUPERVISOR OF CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION - 19 CREDITS
All candidates must meet the College of Education Admission criteria
for the Masters degree. In addition, the candidate must have a minimum
of four years of elementary and or secondary school teaching experience.
Students will be admitted as a cohort group. Each cohort will begin

SUPERINTENDENT: 15 - 39 CREDITS
The requirements for the Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility
program include an earned Masters along with completion of the specific
requirements outlined in the "Program Requirements" document
that can be downloaded below. In addition, the Pennsylvania Department
of Education requires that a candidate has completed a minimum of
three years of successful supervisory/administrative experience
(an individual may be granted an Assistant Superintendent's Letter
of Eligibility without the supervisory/administrative experience)
and be a United States citizen in order to receive a Superintendent
Letter of Eligibility. Please contact Mary Yotter at

K-12 PRINCIPAL: 15 - 39 CREDITS
The requirements for the K-12 Principal Certification program include
an earned Masters along with completion of the specific requirements
outlined on the "Program Requirements" document that can
be downloaded below. In addition to these requirements, the Pennsylvania
Department of Education requires that a candidate have completed
a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience at a state
approved school, be a United States citizen and successfully complete
the PRAXIS School Leadership Licensure Examination in order to receive
Pennsylvania Certification as a School Principal. Please
