TECHNOLOGY USE IN THE SCHOOLS CERTIFICATE - 12 CREDITS

The Technology Use in the Schools 12-credit graduate certificate program is designed to help teachers and other school professionals develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to integrate instructional technologies into teaching and learning effectively.  Students learn best practices and how to apply them in a variety of school settings from the micro to the macro level. TEACHER LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE - 15 CREDITS

This certificate program is targeted toward K-12 classroom teachers who wish to acquire school leadership skills without having to leave teaching. Please contact George White at gpw1@lehigh.edu or 610 758- 3262 for further credit details.

COUNSELING - 12 CREDITS

Issues around career, academic, and mental health counseling have become a main focus in international schools. This certificate emphasizes mental health issues in community, school, and family settings within international communities. Participants will become knowledgeable about counseling students in their schools. As with each of our Certificate Programs, students must complete 4 courses that include two courses offered during one of our Summer Institutes, and two on-line courses offered during the fall and spring semesters. TEACHING ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (TESOL) - 12 CREDITS

The demand for English language learning throughout the United States and the world has increased dramatically in recent years. Increasing numbers of educators are seeking to complete programs in TESOL education or add credentials to existing ones. Lehigh University has moved aggressively into the international arena by providing opportunities for educators to continue their professional development regardless of geographic location or national origin. Lehigh has established its presence as a leader in global education, and has the expertise and resources to support a program to meet the growing need worldwide for English teaching. SPECIAL EDUCATION - 12 CREDITS

Unlike the U.S. schools, special education has never been a focus in international schools. Recently, the complexion of these schools has been changing with increased demands for services to students with attention deficit disorder, mild learning disabilities, and some behavior disorders. Participants choosing this certificate will become knowledgeable in how to adapt existing instruction and provide accommodations for students with diverse learning needs. As with each of our Certificate programs, students must complete 4 courses that include two courses offered during one of our Summer Institutes, and two on-line courses offered during the fall and spring semesters. PROJECT MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE - 12 CREDITS
JOINT CERTIFICATE WITH COLLEGE OF BUSINESS

The Project Management Certificate Program is designed to accommodate the highly demanding schedules of professionals.  Using a unique blend of online formats (including synchronous audio-based sessions online that bring the entire cohort together weekly in a virtual classroom setting) and campus meetings to enhance the experience, the Project Management Certificate offers a comprehensive program certain to bring value to you and your company.
