RESEARCH
Dr. Waddell’s research interests revolve around the implementation of professional development models for K-8 in-service teachers in reform mathematics. Specifically, how school based professional development, such as coaching models, can support the increase of reflection and change in reform mathematics teaching practices.  Additionally, she is also interested in looking into culturally relevant pedagogical practices and how they are integrated into reform mathematics teaching practices, and the effects these practices have on minority students.
