RESEARCH
Dr. Duffield’s primary research interests revolve around the formation, implementation, and maintenance of professional development school partnerships. This includes how new and existing educational professionals are trained and supported, and the use of school and classroom research to inform instructional decisions. In this context, she is particularly interested in how technology can transform school environments to: (a) create learning communities that extend beyond the school, (b) involve students in solving real and important problems, and (c) better prepare new teachers and other educational professionals to teach in their own classrooms.
