Applicants should either already have strong research record or have demonstrated promising research potential in one of the following areas: Group theory, Representation theory, Invariant theory, Computational algebra, Discrete mathematics and applied algebra. The position has been created to support Professor Peter Fleischmann while he is Director of the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics & Actuarial Science. The successful candidate will closely cooperate with Professor Fleischmann in research and some teaching.
