Subject: question Date: Thu, 31 Jul 2003 14:56:51 -0600 (MDT) From: Jerry Lodder To: dmd1@lehigh.edu Don, I would like to post the following question to the topology list. Let g be a Lie algebra over a characteristic zero field, and let U(g) be the universal enveloping algebra of g. Using the algebra structure of U(g), consider U(g) as a Lie algebra, where [a, b] = ab - ba, for a, b in U(g). What is know about the Lie algebra homology of U(g)? For this question, g is not graded (i.e. g is concentrated in degree zero). Thanks! jerry jlodder@nmsu.edu
