2012 Lehigh University Geometry and Topology Conference
Dates: May 25-27, 2012
The conference will start at 11:00 am on Friday, May 25. The first talk will begin at 11:00 Friday, and the last talk will end before 3:00 Sunday, May 27.
- Mike Hill, University of Virginia, Indexing and G-sets: Frobenius Reciprocity to Equivariant Localization.
- Tom Ilmanen, ETH Zurich, New results of mean curvature flow in R3.
- János Kollár, Princeton University, The topology of complex singularities.
- Claude LeBrun, Stony Brook University, Four-Manifolds, Einstein Metrics, and Differential Topology.
- Tom Mrowka, MIT, TBA
- Laurent Saloff-Coste, Cornell University, Random walks and the geometry of groups.
- Jiaping Wang, University of Minnesota, Analysis on smooth metric measure spaces.
Principal Speakers
In addition, there will be parallel sessions of contributed talks, divided roughly into Differential and Complex Geometry, Algebraic Topology, and Geometric Topology.
There will be a $35 registration fee for all participants. Continental breakfast will be provided Saturday and Sunday mornings. Saturday evening there will be a banquet at no additional cost.
The conference is supported by Lehigh University, and the NSF. Limited travel support is available for recent PhD's, current graduate students and members of underrepresented groups. Participants interested in being considered for this support should complete the request for travel support form no later than May 10, 2012.

Bridge at Lehigh
Frank Morgan has volunteered to organize a bridge game directly after the last talk on Friday. The game will be in the Math department lounge, in Christmas-Saucon Hall. You'll be pairing up with partners there, so singles can play. There will be a break for dinner from 7:00 to 8:00, and the games will go on until at latest 10:00. Contact Frank for more details, and to let him know about your bridge experience.
Travel Information We now have updated bus schedules between Bethlehem and the Newark Airport, and between Bethlehem and Phildelphia. In addition, there are several area and campus maps.
