Free-Surface/Wave-Body Interactions

Free-surface progressive wave interacting with a floating or near-surface body that is ________ horizontally or vertically with respect to the incident wave motion are under consideration. The corresponding free-surface distortion, characterized using shadowgraph techniques is also under study.

Applications. Unsteady loading of off-shore structures, such as horizontal and vertical members of offshore drilling platforms, towing cables penetrating a free-surface and related configurations.
