Using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004

Publishing to the Lehigh Website with Dreamweaver

You can set up your copy of Dreamweaver MX 2004 to Publish to the Lehigh website.

Go to the Site menu and choose Manage Sites.

Select the name of the site you want to publish from, and click the Edit button.

Select Remote Info in the left column.

In the Access drop down menu, choose FTP.

• For FTP host, enter ws2.cc.lehigh.edu
• For Host directory, enter webspace
• For Login, enter the userid for the account you are uploading to
• Click the check box next to Use Secure FTP (SFTP)
• Click Ok.

Click Done in the Manage Sites dialog.

Viewing Remote Files

To see what is on the remote site, from the Local View drop down in the Files panel,

choose Remote View.

Then click on the Connect button in the Toolbar:

You will be asked to enter the password for the site:

Enter it and click OK.

To see Local and Remote files at the same time:

To see local and remote files at the same time, be sure that you are connected (the connect icon will be highlighted ).

Then click on the Expand/Collapse icon:

To return to the regular screen, click the Expand/Collapse icon again: .

To move files from local to remote, or vice-versa, click on the file you want to move, and drag and drop it into the other side where you want it to appear.

To disconnect from the server, click on the Connect icon: again.
