Using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 |
Before inserting an image in a web page with Dreamweaver, you must get the image into a web-compatible format. Compatible formats include JPEG and GIF files. Programs like Photoshop will let you save images in those formats. [The Media Production centers in the basements of Fairchild-Martindale and Linderman libraries have facilities for scanning, editing, and/or creating images, including copies of Photoshop.]
Once you have the image on your computer or disk, to insert the
image into the web page, click your cursor where you want the image to be, then
choose Image from the Insert menu, or click on the Image icon in the Insert
panel
. Then choose Image, if necessary.
Use the Select Image Source window that comes up to find and select the image you want to insert.
Once you have inserted the image, you can click on it and change its Properties in the Properties window.
