Equipment Description and Capabilities

This is a lecture/ room with 25 movable seats and tables.  There is one roll-down screen.  The LCD projector is set up to project from the following sources: VHS VCR, user-supplied video device, or user-supplied laptop computer (laptops are available from the Media Center in the EWFM Library).  These devices are connected to the video projector via an Extron interface box located on the wall.  There is a rolling lectern provided for use by the instructor.  Devices to be projected are selected at the LCD AMX touch panel, located on the wall on the side of the room.

The auxiliary jacks at the lectern include a 15 pin male VGA connector, a LAN plug, and a stereo ¼” mini jack (for laptop sound).  The S-Video connector is used for the VCR, and RCA connections at the interface are used for user supplied video devices.  Connection of Macintosh or PC laptops to the auxiliary input requires use of a special interface cable.  This cables has been attached to the top of the rolling table provided for your use.  An adapter for older Macintosh computers may be borrowed from the Media Center (Call 83059).
