Troubleshooting

This section has information on troubleshooting your problems. Typically, your problems will be solved quickly if you follow the following algorithm:
  1. Search HPC pages, mail archives, and/or the internet for the problem. Most problems are recurring and the solutions are readily available.

  2. If you can not login, read the I cannot login page for help.

  3. If the problem is a compilation error, segmentation fault, or similar problem related to execution of programs, read the compiling programs page for help on compiling and debugging.

  4. See the Frequently Asked Questions and their solutions.

  5. If nothing else helps, post your problem with complete details and how to reproduce it (if possible) on the HPC mailing list.

  6. You may also look at Tutorials and Presentations Page for more help on topics like condor and MPI.

  7. If you are unable to use the HPC mailing list also, then use the ask-help page to submit a request.
