Setup Xming with SSH Secure Shell

On Xming Official Website, you can learn how to use Portable PuTTY with Xming to get X11 applications running. Here, we introduce how to setup SSH Secure Shell and Xming to get things working.

1. Start "XLaunch" from "Start" button. Select "Multiple windows".

2. Select "Start no client" since we will use SSH Secure Shell as our client.

3. Choose default setting "Clipboard".

4. Click "Finish" to complete setup steps.

5. After finishing all steps, you will see a Xming icon in your tray.

6. Start SSH Secure Shell and go to Edit->Settings->Tunneling. Click on Tunnel X11 connections and then OK. See figure below:

7. After that, you can logon to servers and type "xclock" to test whether it is working for you.
