Jill Batdorf – Muhlenberg College Institution of Public Opinion: Involved in all aspects of public opinion research projects at Muhlenberg College, including instrument design, software programming, data analysis, and report writing.
Tara Bealer – Renew Lehigh Valley: Provide staff support by accomplishing several objectives, such as facilitating public discussion, establishing and developing an organizational structure, and finalizing the organization’s strategic direction through a consensus-building process.
Danielle Brody – Casa Guadalupe Center: Create measurable objectives for the education department, work on program design models and benchmarks, analyze data, create a system for data collection, and revise the strategic plan for the education department.
Sam Houshmand – American Red Cross: Participate mainly in planning the Neighborhood Initiative, which is a series of training courses for clientele of local agencies throughout the community, covering topics such as CPR, first aid training, healthy eating, and babysitting instructions. Responsible for planning events such as Together We Prepare and the Seniors Benefit Program.
Frank Colachino – Lehigh University’s Small Business Development Center: Visit legislator offices, update staff with publications, interact with constituents, meet personally with all necessary legislators, and coordinate the Small Business Expo.
Lana Curdgele – Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges and Muhlenberg: Support two projects (College Valley and the 19th Street Project) promoting town/gown initiatives within the Lehigh Valley, and serve as professional support for events, public relations/marketing, process development, and funding research for these two initiatives.
Kari Huntsinger – Casa Guadalupe Center: Create measurable objectives, design systems for data collection and analysis, create and update databases, revise the strategic plan, and research needs assessment.
Ethan Kramer – Lehigh Valley Economic Development Center (LVEDC): Develop a non “job growth” metric for success and work on community perception of KIZ, such as participation, marketing questions, attitude and awareness, and needs.
Erin Niclaus – Treatment Trends, Inc.: Collect pre and post treatment data from clients’ surveys, conduct follow-up phone interviews for drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs, enter into SPSS database, analyze data, and write reports on data analyzed.
Juan Rodriguez – Senator Robert Wonderling’s Office Responsible for constituent casework for numerous individuals, aids constituents in securing requested information, and acts as liaison between the constituent and the agency.
Michael Schlossberg – State Representative Jennifer Mann: Serve in a variety of capacities, such as political outreach, policy research and development, constituent outreach, intern supervision, program development and scheduling, and policy hearing development.
Lisa Schulter – Allentown Women’s Center: Complete an outreach-oriented project focusing on several areas to meet specific needs/goals of the Women’s Center, such as performing research, completing a needs assessment, setting goals, organizing the project, and implementing/evaluating the project.
Jessica Young – Community Services for Children, Inc.: Team with Head Start and collaborators to implement, document, and evaluate a pilot program to integrate the arts into the Head Start classrooms, document environmental changes and children’s classroom activities/projects, participate in implementation of child assessments, and document meetings/trainings of project participants.
