Claire Birney, CFRE, has been the Development Director of the Stroud Water Research Center since 1995. She has seen them through two capital campaigns and has raised over $15 million in general operating, endowment and capital projects.  She has 17 years of experience in fundraising including: Membership Manager of the Winterthur Guild, the 35,000 member organization of the Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library in Delaware; as well as Development Assistant at both the Delaware Symphony and the Upland Country Day School. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and serves on the local Brandywine Chapter Board of Directors. She has a B.S. in Communications from West Chester University, West Chester, PA.
