ZAYO BANDWIDTH WIRELESS ACCESS SERVICE

You may be able to connect to the
South Bethlehem KIZ wireless service if you live close enough to campus or have
a wireless antenna. Zayo Bandwidth offers wireless Internet service in
South Bethlehem. Any Lehigh student can subscribe
to the wireless service for a rate of $20 per month. Student Credit Cards
are charged direct for the service Subscription Plan selected.
Here's how to get
connected:
- The
wireless signal strength will vary depending on where you live in the
South Side.
- A Free Hour Pass
is available on the KIZ home page to try the service.
- Use
your wireless computer to detect an access point. Access points becon S_Bethlm_KIZxxxx.
- Signal
strength may vary even within your housing unit so try it from different
locations to see if the signal is viable in the room where you expect to
use it most often.
- If
you can detect the signal but its strength is low (2 bars or less) a small
external antenna might be helpful in gaining a better connection. We recommend WiFire, http://www.hfield.com/kiz/.
- If
the signal strength is 3 bars or more you are likely to be able to use the
wireless service.

Connect to
the KIZ wireless network via a wireless access point
Once your
computer has connected, open a web browser and you should see the KIZ
"Welcome Page."
Choose and
click on a New Subscriber Purchase Plan.
