You may be able to connect to the South Bethlehem KIZ wireless service if you live close enough to campus or have a wireless antenna.  Zayo Bandwidth offers wireless Internet service in South Bethlehem.  Any Lehigh student can subscribe to the wireless service for a rate of $20 per month.  Student Credit Cards are charged direct for the service Subscription Plan selected.

Here's how to get connected:

  • The wireless signal strength will vary depending on where you live in the South Side.
  • A Free Hour Pass is available on the KIZ home page to try the service.
  • Use your wireless computer to detect an access point.  Access points becon S_Bethlm_KIZxxxx
  • Signal strength may vary even within your housing unit so try it from different locations to see if the signal is viable in the room where you expect to use it most often.
  • If you can detect the signal but its strength is low (2 bars or less) a small external antenna might be helpful in gaining a better connection.  We recommend WiFire, http://www.hfield.com/kiz/
  •  If the signal strength is 3 bars or more you are likely to be able to use the wireless service.

It’s as easy as 1- 2 - 3
