Lehigh Valley American Regions Math League team |
The Lehigh Valley ARML team is open to all high school and middle school students in eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. It is also open to students in New Jersey with several exceptions. Students in districts of the Central Jersey Math League cannot be on our team. Students in Bergen County cannot be on our team. New students whose home and school is in the following regions cannot be on our team, according to an ARML rule initiated in 2023:
In the fall, we have three open practices: Sept. 28, Oct. 12, and Nov. 16, but they are fully subscribed. The qualifying test to join the team will probably be given Sunday March 1, 2026, from 3:30 to 5:30 at Lehigh University. It will be only open to students who wish to join the team. Students whose home and school are in the following counties in New Jersey: Morris, Somerset, Essex, Union, Mercer, Bergen, and those whose schools are in the Central Jersey Math League are not allowed to join our team, unless they were already on it, due to a 2023 ruling. Other parts of New Jersey, all of eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware are welcome, including middle school students from these areas. Students who qualify to be on the team will be notified by email within 24 hours after the end of the contest. We will then have practices almost every Sunday in March, April, and May from 3:30 to 6:00. We expect to again have four 15-person teams. Click here for more information about the qualifying test.
