rmj207@lehigh.edu

After completing her Ph. D. in English at Washington State University, Rita Jones moved to the University of Northern Colorado, where she was an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Women's Studies.

Her research interests include motherhood, women in medicine, millennial notions of successful femininity, and women in higher education leadership positions. Rita enjoys both working with students in and out of the classroom and engaging the campus community in larger dialogues about the status of women locally and globally.

She enjoys spending time with her family at local Lehigh Valley outdoor attractions, making bread from scratch (no bread machines!), reading with her kids, and talking theory with her spouse.

Assistant Director
Michelle Issadore, M.Ed

mii206@lehigh.edu

Michelle Issadore was born and raised in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. She attended Brandeis University and graduated in 2004 with a double major in Psychology and Women's Studies, as well as a minor in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies. She also spent a semester studying at University College London in London, England. She then moved on to Penn State University's Master's program in College Student Affairs, where she worked as a Graduate Assistant with their peer hotline.

This is Michelle's third year at Lehigh, where she started as the Sexual Violence Prevention Coordinator in the Women's Center before becoming the Assistant Director in 2007. Michelle takes great pleasure in engaging with Lehigh's fabulous students, faculty, and staff around why we still need feminism and the prevalence of sexism and violence against women in popular culture.

In her own time, Michelle enjoys reading, skiing, singing (badly) in her car, and spending time with her partner, Scott, and her family and friends.
