Introduction to the Microelectronics Research Laboratory

The Microelectronics Research Laboratory is located in the Sherman Fairchild Center for Solid State Studies. It contains facilities for the design, fabrication and measurement of semiconductor devices and circuits. The processing Laboratory has clean room space for oxidation, diffusion, photolithography, CVD, metalization and assorted process monitoring measurements. It is the policy and intent of the microelectronics research laboratory to reach out to the community at large. In an effort to accomplish this goal, representatives from industry, as well as other educational institutions are encouraged to contact the center to discuss any needs they may have.
