Lehigh XL30 Microscope Now Available to K-12 By Remote Control

Realtime remote access to the XL-30 electron microscope is one of the newest and most exciting educational tools now available from the Nanocharacterization Lab housed within the Center for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology at Lehigh. Director of Web-based Education, Andrea Harmer, can provide access and application information about this new tool in a university outreach effort to K-12. Please email ajw1@lehigh.edu for more specific information on how to use the XL30 electron microscope from your K-12 classroom.

Note:
Teacher training is required on site at Lehigh University for use of software.

Training session is 4 hours. Cost is $400. for up to four teachers.

Remote access software will be provided free of charge to trained teachers.

Student samples will be previewed before mounting and placing in scope.
Cost of scope time and technician time after training: $40. hr.(includes sample prep)
