• RealPlayer (RealAudio) to play audio files (free download: look for small print "free RealOne Player" on top right corner)

• Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print articles in pdf format in Course Documents  (free download)

• a good printer: pdf files, though we won't use too many, are slow to load and slow to print in you have a dial-up modem
  

• Microsoft Word preferred as wordprocessing software so that we can use the Comment function to respond to written work
