Absence
If you need to miss a class or a day of classes due to illness, athletic competition, personal issue, or other appropriate reason, it is extremely important that you contact your instructor as soon as possible. The Office of Academic Support Services suggests that you contact your instructor by email before you miss the class. A Report of Student Absence form is available in the office to assist that process. Please note that the Health Center does not issue medical excuses. Students missing three or more days of classes need to contact Dean Lantz as soon as possible. She can assist you in notifying instructors as necessary. Good communication is key. Please keep your instructor and Dean Lantz informed of any extenuating circumstances.
For the complete Attendance and Make-up Exam policy and additional academic policies and standards, please refer to the Student Handbook.
