A Letter from the Director:

Welcome to our web site and please accept my invitation to explore in it the various ways we are committed to being involved with you as you study, work, play, and live within the university community at Lehigh. My staff and I who work in the Counseling Service (UCPS) are dedicated to the belief that a person's college years are optimally a time of challenge, inquiry, experimentation, productivity, and change. Our services are primarily designed to help students not only manage occasional crises, but to thrive in meaningful ways...to grow in self-understanding in order to make more satisfying and better use of their personal and interpersonal resources. Individual contacts, group therapies, faculty/staff and parent consultation, and numerous outreach activities are some of the primary means by which we attempt to accomplish our mission to serve you.

All of us working in the center are committed to providing assistance to all registered Lehigh students interested in personal, social, academic and athletic growth and discovery, as well as to the larger campus community through consultation, academic teaching, research, and various other types of involvement.
