International Travel Grant Proposal
What kinds of proposals are being sought?
The guidelines are intentionally broad, to encourage diverse and creative proposals. We hope to field proposals which contribute to existing/developing goals and priorities of Lehigh’s internationalization efforts and which use existing resources (technology, connections) to strengthen inter-institutional linkages.
How often are proposals reviewed?
Proposal deadlines are 3/15/07; 10/1/07; 3/15/08; 10/1/08; 3/15/09. Notification will generally occur within four weeks of a deadline.
Who reviews and approves proposals?
The review panel consists of a faculty representative from each college, the Deputy Provost for Faculty Affairs, the Director of Faculty Development, and the Director of Study Abroad.
When should travel occur?
That’s up to the faculty member(s) – although generally, we assume that faculty will be traveling during periods when travel will not compete with other obligations, such as teaching.
