Health & Safety Considerations
Please follow these steps prior to going abroad:
- Have doctor and dentist appointments prior to departure; discuss relevant issues with health professionals (if necessary obtain a Confirmation of Good Health).

- Obtain any necessary vaccinations (if necessary obtain a Confirmation of Vaccination).

- If you require prescription medications while abroad, pack enough for your trip in original containers in your carry-on luggage, and bring a doctor’s note (you will very likely need to verify this requirement).
- Arrange for medical needs, ongoing or potential (diabetes, epilepsy, allergies, etc.) and ensure availability of medical care.
- Ensure that health coverage follows you abroad; Visit International Association for Medical Assistance to Travelers to find out how to receive treatment (what documentation to present for treatment; retain for reimbursement in U.S.; what documentation to bring for Proof of Insurance).
- Obtain a copy of your medical records.
- Prepare an emergency medical kit (if necessary).
